Pearl Grade

According to the Gemological Institute of America (GIA), pearls are valued base on the 7 pearl value factors which are: luster, surface, shape, size, color, nacre, and matching.

Luster is the most important value factor when evaluating a pearl followed by shape and surface. A lightly blemished pearl with high luster is more valuable than a low luster clean surface pearl. Besides luster, a perfectly round pearl will worth much more than pearls that are off round. 

We only carry quality pearls that represent the top 3 percent of the pearls harvested each year. Our pearls have very fine luster and this lovely glow seems to emanate from within the pearls themselves.

We felt that it is our responsibly to provide customers with relevant and honest information about pearls because not all pearls are graded the same, different suppliers may have different criteria when grading pearls. AA+ pearls from supplier X may be graded as AAA by supplier Y but our pearls follow a very strict grading criteria stated in the chart below :
